What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It was written by men who were under the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit. We accept it as our infallible guide in matters concerning conduct and doctrine. The Bible is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:16-21, Matthew 5:18, John 16:12,13

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. God exists in three Persons: God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is loving and holy.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, is both God and man, and is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He was born of the Virgin Mary so that He could reveal God, live a sinless and perfect life, die on the cross in our place, and rise again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that the Lord Jesus has ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God, where He fulfills the ministry as Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate as our High Priest.

We believe Jesus Christ will return to the earth just as he promised. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and is the supernatural agent of regeneration. The Holy Spirit baptizes all believers into the Body of Christ. To live holy and fruitful lives as God intends, we must be baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit, which we receive after the new birth. The infilling of the Holy Spirit enables believers to be witnesses for Jesus Christ and use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.

We believe that humanity is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God. However, through Adam’s transgression, sin entered the world, causing a separation between each one of us and God. As a result, without Jesus, we are spiritually dead and powerless to save ourselves. The only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ, who became a man and died as our substitute. Through His sacrificial death, we can be made alive and experience fullness and union with God.

We believe that God desires for all humans to be saved and not to perish. Our eternal destination, either Heaven or hell, is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. We affirm that to receive forgiveness and be born again, we must repent of our sins, have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and surrender to His will for our lives. Our salvation is solely by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe baptism by immersion in water is only a commandment of Jesus Christ for believers. It publicly represents the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

We believe that God wishes to heal and transform us to live healthy and prosperous lives, enabling us to help others more effectively. Physical healing was provided for in Christ’s atonement. It is to be received through faith, by the laying on of hands, anointing with oil, and prayer of faith.

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and includes all individuals who have been born-again. According to the New Testament, the establishment and continuation of local churches are taught and defined. The Church is God’s plan and vessel through which He works His divine will on earth. It is crucial for Christians to be part of a local church, which is called to minister to the individual, the community, and the world.
